Bio:
Marc Tieger, Co-founder and President of Tieger Realty Co., Inc., and his wife Judy, opened their business in the center hall of their home in West Rindge in 1972. They moved the business to Jaffrey the following year. Since that time Marc has been instrumental in all phases of real estate in Jafffrey and surrounding towns. He assisted with the creation of Gilmore Court Elderly Housing, Partridge Point, Fox Run and Waterway Ridge. Most recently he was involved with Coburn Woods, an award winning single family detached condominium community. Marc is a Charter Member of the Contoocook Valley Board of Realtors, Founding President of the Jaffrey Chamber of Commerce, and was selected as REALTOR of the Year in 1977, a985, and 2005. Active in many other civic endeavors, and Moderator of the Town of Jaffrey. Marc and Judy have 5 children and 8 grand-children, most of whom reside in the area.

Bio:
Born & bred in Vermont - graduated from the University of VT in 1954 majoring in Banking, Finance and Insurance. After a military tour, was a financial analyst for a Vermont insurance company., a Trust Investment Officer for a NY bank, Treasurer and a Vice President and Portfolio Advisor for a Boston based regional bank.
Seeking a change of pace, purchased a small family grocery store in Rindge, NH in 1976 and ran very successfully until sold in 1985. Enamored of the region and wishing to remain in the homestead entered real estate as a Sales Associate and earned Broker Associate status a year later. I joined Tieger Realty Co., Inc. in 1993 and continue to serve the Monadnock Region.

After 25 years of being a REALTOR in the Monadnock Region, I am as enthused about my profession as I was when I started in 1981. I continue to enjoy the challenge of assisting Buyers and Sellers as they make these important lifestyle and financial decisions. The personalized service I offer, with close attention to client's needs and the many details involved in a Real Estate transaction, have led to my success.
Having lived in Jaffrey since 1979 and being an active member of the community, I am well aware of all that our Monadnock Region has to offer. Community involvement has been an important part of my life and I have served on many committees and organized many events including the Annual House Tours for my church and Daffodil Days for the American Cancer Society. Both my children had the privilege of going all the way through Jaffrey schools from Kindergarten to High School and I have been involved in their school activities. Having formerly been an elementary school teacher, I recognize the importance of our schools to the whole community.

Although I am new to realty, I am no stranger to the Monadnock Region. My family has summered here since 1947. I have fond memories of accompanying my grandmother to Goodnow’s and repairing to Sawyer’s for lunch before returning to our summer cottage to while away the afternoon.
When I chose real estate as my third career, perhaps I was fulfilling a lost opportunity of my grandmother’s. Family legend has it that a real estate agency in Lowell, Massachusetts, was so impressed with my grandmother’s negotiating skills in acquiring a home the agency was offering for sale in Chelmsford that the broker offered her a position. My grandfather said no—in those days a respectable married woman did not have a career outside the home. I often wonder if the broker was disappointed or relieved.
I am proud to be the newest sales associate at Tieger Realty, a locally and independently owned office which has served the Region faithfully for decades. I am eager to share my fresh enthusiasm with you no matter on which side of a real estate transaction you may find yourself.
